About PRI

The Prout Research Institute is a project of Proutist Universal and is run by a committee. The PRI website aims to collect and introduce many of the Proutist concepts, study materials, and essential writings of authors world-wide into one convenient place to examine and learn about Progressive Utilization Theory. Beyond presenting a purely Proutist perspective, the site contains articles on a wide array of subjects from mainstream authors, activists, and intellectuals.

Below is a list of the officers.

Dr. Susmit Kumar, President

Susmit Kumar has a Ph.D. from The Pennsylvania State University. Before coming to the U.S., he was selected to join the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS). He is the author of book "The Modernization of Islam and the Creation of a Multipolar World Order" (Booksurge, January 2008). He is working on a new work "Casino Capitalism and The Collapse of US Economy – Its World-Wide Political Consequences.

Alex Jackimovicz, Vice-president

Alex Jackimovicz is the PRI website administrator, and board member of Proutist Universal. Alex graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Piyush Bhatnagar, Secretary

Nada Khader, Public Relations

Nada Khader has been the director of WESPAC Foundation, a peace and justice action and educational network, since May 2001.

She is responsible for running all the day-to-day operations of the non-profit organization that has served the Westchester Community since 1974. WESPAC Foundation works on a range of issues dealing with social, economic and racial justice, and is especially concerned about promoting a just resolution to the various conflicts in the Middle East.

Before joining the WESPAC family, she served as a consultant for the United Nations Development Program in the Gaza Strip and also served for two years as a Fulbright Scholar in Tunisia, North Africa. She returned to the United States in 1993 and served an additional two years with AmeriCorps, the Domestic Peace Corps, in both North Carolina and Washington, DC.

As WESPAC Foundation Director, she has been invited to represent the progressive community at the Socialist Scholars Conference, the “Orange Alert” Conference at Sarah Lawrence College, the “Color of War” Conference at Manhattanville College, the Lower Hudson Valley People’s Assembly, Mount Vernon Islamic Center and the Interfaith Council Women’s Luncheon. She has been recognized for her peace and justice work by the American Muslim Women’s Association and was invited to give the Commencement Address at the German School of New York in June of 2004.

Marc Friedman, Finance

Dr. Ravi Batra, Advisor

Dr. Ravi Batra, a professor of economics at Southern Methodist University, Dallas, is the author of five international best sellers. He was the chairperson of his department from 1977 to 1980. In October 1978, because of dozens of publications in top journals such as the American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy, Econometrica, Journal of Economic Theory, Review of Economic Studies, among others, Batra was ranked third in a group of “superstar economists,” selected from all the American and Canadian universities by an article in the learned journal, Economic Enquiry. In 1990, the Italian prime minister awarded him a Medal of the Italian Senate for writing a book that correctly predicted the downfall of Soviet communism, fifteen years before it happened.

Dr. Batra has been written up in major newspapers and magazines, such as the New YorkTimes, Washington Post, USA Today, Time, Newsweek, the U.S. News and World Report, and appeared on all major networks including CBS, NBC, CNN, ABC, CNBC, among others. Batra’s latest book is: The New Golden Age: The Coming Revolution against Political Corruption and Economic Chaos.
